New clinic opens to serve employees of a major Kentucky distiller

BluMine Health LLC is opening a new clinic in Bardstown, Kentucky, serving employees of a major Kentucky distiller.

BluMine is a Louisville-based health care provider that partners with employers to offer concierge medical service to employees. It’s not open to the public, but it is a benefit that complements an employer’s health plan at no cost to the employee.

Its newest clinic will serve the employees of Heaven Hill Distilleries Inc. The clinic, opening Aug. 1 at 700 Portland Ave. in Bardstown, is about an hour away from Louisville and is accessible to Heaven Hill’s 600 employees and their families.

Louisville-based BluMine Health began operations seven years ago as Alternative Health Solutions (AHS), offering companies a health and wellness model through onsite care clinics or shared-site care centers. The model, known as direct primary care (DPC) in the health and wellness industry, creates access to care, chronic disease management, wellness programs, and RX solutions for member companies and their personnel. In addition, BluMine Health shares a specialty alliance relationship with Baptist Health (Baptist Direct Employer Strategies) in which BluMine members are offered “white glove” concierge referrals with expedited access to Baptist’s acute outpatient specialty physicians and market regional hospitals
