When to Wash Your Hands: *
Before, during, and after preparing food Before and after eating food Before and after caring for someone at home Before and after treating a wound After using the bathroom After changing a diaper or assisting a child going to the bathroom After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing After touching an animal, animal food, or animal waste After handling pet food or pet treats After handling garbage
Touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands Preparing or eating food with unwashed hands Touching a contaminated surface or object Blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing into your hands or on common objects
