Summer has arrived and with it so has the sun! July is UV Safety Awareness month so we thought this may be a golden opportunity to remind you to protect yourself when outdoors.
Being out in the sun may be fun and relaxing but it can also be harmful. The sun emits radiation known as UV-A and UV-B rays. Both types can cause damage to both skin and eyes. Unprotected sun exposure can cause vision problems and damage to your eyes, suppression of the immune system, premature aging of the skin, and skin cancer. By taking the proper precautions you can enjoy your time in the sun.
